I enjoyed this show a lot.It sounds like they were a little out of tune in the beginning ,but that gives it a bit of character. At times it felt like the bass was going to collapse the upper deck.
I thought this show was the better of the two RFK shows. There were more flubs night one and it took half that show to get the sound right.I thought "Cold Rain and Snow " was real nice..Brent and his Hammond B-3 gave it the classic '80's Dead sound. Nice "To Lay me Down" especially for a stadium version.Jerry's vocals are pretty good during '89 and '90 and he looked healthier than he had since the early '80's.Best version of "Let it Grow" I saw 'till 10-16-89.
The JGB 1989 fall tour is really spectacular I highly recommend checking it out .Pure Jerry
Vol.5 (I Think) Merriweather Post Pavilion is well worth the price of the 4 cd set.Jerry in top form-
